Problem
I was asked to design an 18x24 in. poster for the CSU Chico School of the Arts Fall 2024 Calendar that displays
all of the scheduled events for the semester. The poster needed to implement a dynamic visual grid
structure, have a clear hierarchy of information and be legible.

Solution
Using five colors and two font families, I created a visual hierarchy that displays all arts events for the Fall 2024 semester. Each color is used to visually separate each month, making the information easy to read and understand upon a glance. For the hierarchy of text, I used bold Brother 1816 in black for the event name. Following the event title, I designed the date, time, and location of the event in color Bold Italic Brother 1816. The background uses a playful gradient to not distract from the information on the poster.
